July emerged as a pivotal month, reflecting the upward trend in cruise tourism. A notable increase of 28.3 percent in the number of cruise ships docking at Turkish ports was recorded compared to the same period last year, with a total of an impressive 154 ships.

The increase didn't stop there - the number of passengers aboard these ships surged by an extraordinary 72.6 percent, reaching nearly 209,000. This upward momentum is reflected in the cumulative arrival statistics for this year, with cruise ships visiting Turkish ports experiencing an impressive increase of 31.4 percent from January to July, totaling 574 ships. These ships collectively brought an 83.6 percent increase in the number of passengers, peaking at 691,958 arrivals.

Kuşadası Port Takes the Lead The charming port of Kuşadası in Aydın, located in the western regions of Turkey, stands out as a prominent player in the maritime scene. Kuşadası City took the lead as the top port for incoming cruise ships in the first seven months of this year, hosting 264 cruise ships carrying 372,000 passengers.
