Skyline Holding Discusses Ways of Cooperation to Support Earthquake Victims in the Presence of the Yemeni Ambassador

Today, Tuesday, Skyline Holding Company, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Mohammed Al-Musali, received His Excellency the Yemeni Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammed Tariq, to discuss avenues of cooperation to support both the Turkish and Syrian peoples following the devastating earthquake that struck the countries on the morning of February 6th.

The meeting, held today to discuss ways to support the affected people of both the Syrian and Turkish communities, took place at the company's headquarters in the Mall of Istanbul. Several Yemeni social figures and businessmen attended the meeting, expressing their readiness and willingness to provide necessary support to the affected individuals, especially among the Yemeni community.

Ambassador Mohammed Tariq, in a statement made to a correspondent of Skyline Holding Company during his visit to the company's headquarters, said, "The Yemeni embassy and its community in Turkey are ready to provide whatever they can, along with their businessmen and financiers, to stand by the Turkish and Syrian brothers in their ordeal."

Regarding Tariq's visit to the Skyline Holding Group of Companies, he confirmed that "this visit is part of a series of visits we are conducting to businessmen and philanthropists from the Yemeni community in Turkey, with their various orientations, associations, and organizations, to urge them to stand united with the Turkish people. I am thankful to have received a great response during the visits conducted so far."

Tariq emphasized that "this support comes as a gesture of gratitude to the Turkish state, leadership, and people for their continuous fraternal stance with Yemen, both leadership and people. We affirm Yemen's solidarity with Turkey, both as a government and as a people, during this crisis and under these circumstances."

Mohammed Al-Musali, Chairman of the Board of Skyline Holding Company, briefly stated on the sidelines of the meeting, "Since the first day of the disaster, we have been in contact with the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) through official channels to discuss and talk with them about possible ways of cooperation to provide urgent support to the affected."

Al-Musali added, "We conveyed the full picture to Yemeni businessmen, Arabs, and companies after our official communication with AFAD to inform them of the latest developments in the field situation in the affected areas due to the earthquake. Everyone quickly started the necessary and rapid preparations for the victims and their families."

Al-Musali emphasized, "Today, we were honored by the visit of the Yemeni Ambassador to our company headquarters, and this is something we cherish and are proud of as Yemenis in Turkey, that the ambassador personally follows up with senior Yemeni businessmen and companies to provide the necessary support to the affected and to directly supervise, through these meetings, the delivery of aid to our brothers in southern Turkey and northern Syria."

On February 6th, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.7 struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, followed by another of magnitude 7.6 hours later, along with hundreds of aftershocks, resulting in significant loss of life and property in both countries.
